Treat motivation as the spark, not the fuel

Treat motivation as the spark, not the fuel
By Arun Jayaraj

The journey between the person you are today and the version you want to be requires a metaphorical fire.

A fire that you must keep alive.

Our journey will stall when we don't.

The problem lies in the over-reliance on motivation. We believe we need it to keep this fire burning. But, it never will.

Motivation serves as the spark to get this fire started. But our purpose, accountability and community are the fuel to keep it burning.

Once you feel the motivation you need, focus on finding the 'fuel' as soon as possible. Don't wait too long.

This will ensure you never stall while on your journey toward the person you deserve to be.
